Press sec. Karine Jean-Pierre destroyed by clever comeback

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is trying to get the mainstream media to rally around President Joe Biden’s administration.

On Wednesday, she implored CNN to compare Biden to former President Donald Trump and to stop questioning the economic struggles under his administration.

The Republican National Committee was happy to oblige — and their devastating comeback is something every American voter needs to see.

“We have to remember where this country was more than a year ago when he walked into office,” Jean-Pierre said during an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon.

She said that “the economy was not in a great place, schools were closed, business were closed, we didn’t have a comprehensive covid strategy. What he ended up doing was meet that moment, pass the American Rescue Plan.”

She pointed out that only Democrats voted for Biden’s spending plan.

Critics were quick to fire back.

“Karine Jean-Pierre says ‘we have to remember where this country was’ when Biden ‘walked into office,'” the RNC responded on social media.

“Yeah, gas was $2.39/gal, inflation was at 1.4%, the markets were higher, and Trump was leading a great American comeback.”

Jean-Pierre has struggled to defend the Biden administration since taking office last month. Her predecessor, former press secretary Jen Psaki, left in May for a position at the cable news channel MSNBC.

Since taking over, Jean-Pierre has been stumped by questions from Fox News and CNN.

She’s been flustered more than once; struggled to answer why there’s such high staff turnover inside the White House; and been “insulted” by needing help answering some questions.

In fact, things are probably much better for Jean-Pierre than they were a year ago.

But that’s not the case for almost every other American.
