The rarest quality in politics is truth, but America just got a little taste of it from an unexpected source: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
AOC, the world’s most celebrated socialist, just admitted that she and other far-Left Democrats want “control” over the “core assets” that determine whether you and your loved ones can live a normal life.
They want to be able to turn them on — and shut them off.
The facts came tumbling out during an interview with Yahoo! Finance.
Naturally, the Bronx-based radical thinks socialism has a better track record than capitalism… It’s just that you aren’t smart enough to understand socialism as well as she does, because you can’t understand “big words.”
“I believe that in a broad sense, because when we toss out these big words — capitalism, socialism — they get sensationalized,” AOC said. “People translate them into meaning things that perhaps they don’t mean.”
Then she proved it by claiming capitalism is a top-down, controlling system… sort of like socialism.
“To me, capitalism, at its core… is the ability for a very small group of actual capitalists (to)… control industry,” she said. “They can control our energy sources. They can control our labor. They can control massive markets that they dictate and can capture governments. And they can essentially have power over the many. And to me, that is not a redeemable system for us to be able to participate in for the prosperity and peace for the vast majority of people.”
“What we’re talking about (is)… the absolute pursuit of profit at all human, environmental, and social cost. That is what we’re really discussing,” she said.
To anyone who knows world history or economics, that sounds a lot more like socialism than capitalism.
In socialism, the government owns and controls all resources. It runs the factories and the stores, controls all schools, and hands out everyone’s groceries and health care. Friends of socialist party leaders — their families, cronies, and yes-men — get all the resources they want.
Common folks only get rolling blackouts, empty store shelves, forced relocations, and wiretaps from the secret police.
The American free market system lets anyone have as much money as he can earn, choose how to spend it, and use it to take care of his family as he sees fit.
Let’s face it, this “irredeemable” capitalist system has been pretty good to AOC. In 2018, she made a little less than $25,000; today, AOC makes $174,000 annually from Congress, plus the best benefits of any job in the world. She reportedly owns a Tesla Model 3 Long Range, which costs anywhere from $40,000 to $59,000. She spent most of the COVID-19 pandemic outside of her poor Bronx district, huddled down in her luxurious Washington, D.C., apartment.
Her top campaign contributor for her current term is Alphabet Inc. — better known as the parent company of Google.
But in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s mind, there’s always one huge victim: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The New York congresswoman even said that Republicans only point out her hypocritical actions and illogical statements because they want to date her.
She said she still has PTSD from the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, even though she was far away at the time.
And even though she’s jumped from working as a bartender to one of the highest elected offices in the land in almost no time, she just said the American system is no good — or, in her words, “not redeemable” — and has to be changed.
What would she like to see take its place? She said that “people get a fair shake” when they take “union jobs, unionized workplaces.” Could she be saying that be because organized labor PACs gave her $46,000 in the last election cycle?
So, what’s the real story behind her push for socialism? It’s all about who has “control.” In capitalism, you control your money; in socialism, the government controls your money.
AOC thinks that sounds great.

“I think at the end of the day, it is about who has control over the very core assets of production and society.”
AOC and her socialist buddies want the power and “control over the very core assets” of your life to be in their hands and in the hands of their friends in the Democratic Party, not yours.
She admitted it.
Don’t let her forget it or live it down.
