Conservative Christian television star and founder of the internationally-broadcast Daystar station Marcus Lamb died yesterday, the station announced Tuesday morning.
He was just 64.
Daystar’s press release did not say how Lamb died. It was reported by Daystar on Nov. 23 that he was battling a serious COVID-19 infection. Lamb was an outspoken vaccine skeptic and regularly hosted controversial guests who doubted the effectiveness of mainstream treatments.
Lamb’s son, Jonathan, called the COVID-19 infection “a spiritual attack from the enemy” when he made the announcement last week.
Experts have urged vaccine-hesitant individuals to speak to a trusted personal care physician to see if any of the available COVID-19 vaccines are safe for them and if a vaccine can help prevent serious “long haul” symptoms or even death. An estimated 4.6 billion individuals worldwide have received at least one dose of the vaccines, which are available to any American for free.
The tragic announcement led to an outpouring of grief from other top Evangelical Christian leaders, including Franklin Graham.
For all those who put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, we have that assurance of being with God for eternity in heaven. Marcus is now in the presence of His Lord and Savior. He had preached about heaven, taught about heaven, and now he is experiencing heaven.

Lamb founded the evangelical television station Daystar in 1997 in Texas, and after huge success moved the station to a massive new facility in Bedford, Texas in 2003.
The Christian network operates 70 television stations across the United States and is also broadcast in 74 countries worldwide.
Daystar put out the following message mourning their founder’s passing —
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Marcus D. Lamb, Founder, President, and CEO of Daystar Television Network, went home to be with his Heavenly Father this morning. He leaves behind a legacy of fiercely loving the Lord, all the people of the world, and most of all his family.
As we remember this Great General of the Faith, let us never forget his devotion to the Great Commission. His heart’s passion was that all may come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and experience the transformational power of the Holy Spirit.
It is our prayer that his life has inspired you to dare to answer God’s call on your life, to believe that with God truly anything is possible, and that if you let God write your adventure, you’ll touch the world.
The family asks at this time that their privacy be respected as they grieve this difficult loss, and they wish to express their deep love and gratitude for all those who prayed during Marcus’s health battle. Continue to lift them up in prayer in the days ahead.
Please join with the rest of the Daystar family as we take comfort in knowing that Marcus was greeted into Heaven with these words from the Father, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.” And we look forward with great longing for that glorious day when we will see him face to face again in eternity
