Nuns vs. strippers in courtroom drama

January 27, 2016 By: Stephen Dietrich

A convent in suburban Chicago plans to move forward with an effort to close a neighboring strip club even after a legal setback.

Cook County Circuit Judge Peter Flynn on Tuesday told the Missionary Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo to rework their lawsuit against Club Allure in Stone Park alleging it violates prostitution regulations and is a nuisance. But Flynn also dismissed claims that the club violates zoning laws.

He asked the nuns’ lawyers to provide specific, detailed examples of nuisances or lewd behavior.

After the hearing, Sister Noemia Silva said her order is called to “protect our values, and we will not change them.”

Attorney Robert Itzkow, who is former owner of the club, says it’s a legal business.

This society is never going to be what our parents had hoped for us as we grew up in the fifties. We lived in a different world then. Now we watch our children work long hard hours to raise their children. Our grandchildren are great kids however we see much more of them compared to the time I saw my grand parents. They’re with us out of necessity mom and dad work late or go in early. We live in a rural area so as seniors we do shopping during the day so we can get home before dark. Retiries aren’t save after dark in the city. Our saftey is gone. Our America is erouded to something we don’t like.

          I support the strippers.
The nuns should be charged for child abuse for indoctrinating those young minds

It appears you are not a religious person. That is your right as an American citizen. Do have children? Would you want them exposed to what occurs in a strip joint? Do you think what a strip joint can offer children is constructive? Little girls learns giving themselves is what is natural or just part of society that is not of the moral conduct you would want them to be in? How about the boys, would you want them to treat your neighbors daughter with such morals? How about the children’s attitude towards their mother or sister or brother? What moral attitude do you live by?

    • Grover Syck says

      January 28, 2016 at 9:25 pm

Yes, it should be closed and the nuns should be charged with child abuse.

To lend further support to the lawsuit , consider sending various parish priests to visit the club in order to provide qualified witnesses to the unacceptable activity that is detrimental to the moral standards of the community …Once the naked dancing is banned by court order , spot check visits should be conducted to assure compliance and no repeat violations !
Moral turpitude is out of order ! A parish fund raiser might finance clothing for these ladies who have no wardrobe .

      January 28, 2016 at 6:09 pm

They could send the parish priests to this place to help them understand that women should be their sexual target instead of little alter boys.

Another screw ball. Why not talk about the high rollers on t.v. who have the other religions by the short hair, and all you hear from them is GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, take this up with the devil. Sounds like you and it can get along just fine.

The only screw ball, is the one that actually believes there is some Christian authority left in the catholic church! over 2600 child molestation investigations?? What more do you need?? This wasn’t just an isolated incident. It has been reported all over the world!!! If you are so blind, then I have no pity for you and yours!

Where the “Spot checks) are needed is any time a priest is alone with an alter boy.

You might try telling that one to the priests, bishops, cardinals, and dope. They have no right to complain about what anyone does.

The degeneration of our values is worrying. I would think about the clients of these strip clubs. Marriage has become fleeting, partners walk out and leave men in a vacuum. They then seek entertainment at these strip clubs. There is a new force the blog “Embracing a simpler life” is about the new direction in married life and it promises to change society for the better. We should all embrace it.

I am opposed to strip clubs, but as long as my taxes are not supporting this behavior I believe that they have freedom of choice and should be allowed to operate their club.
I am opposed to abortion, but as long as my taxes are not supporting abortion then I believe that women have freedom of choice and should be allowed to have abortions AS LONG AS MY TAX MONEY IS NOT SUPPORTING THIS PRACTICE.
I am opposed to illegal drugs and all alcoholic beverages, but as long as my taxes are not supporting this behavior (such as providing social services, via my taxes, for the rehabilitation of the addict) then I believe that they have freedom of choice and should be allowed to use any drug or alcoholic beverage.
On most issues I tend to be a libertarian.
I am opposed to polygamy but polygamists are not infringing upon me; my taxes are not supporting them. I believe that they have freedom of choice and should be allowed to practice their beliefs.
I am opposed to group orgies (example: 3 woman and 5 men having group sex, or any combination of men and/or woman). I believe that they have freedom of choice and should be allowed to practice their beliefs. I don’t want my tax money to pay for the health costs associated with STD’s. They can do their thing, but they should take care of their own health; don’t infringe upon me and force me, via my taxes, to take care of you.
I should be allowed to voluntarily give of my hard earned money to whom ever I choose, to what ever cause I choose (as long as it is not to over throw our government), but I should NOT be allowed to use any of these gifts as a tax deduction.

If sister Noemia wants to “protect out values” she and her group should go hang the CHILD MOLESTING PRIESTS. Most likely that could be several thousands at least.
The pope has over 200 on the hit list. Along with the higher ups that covered up the crimes. In the confessional, Home free, to do it all over again and they do.
When I was 5-9 years old I had to live with my grandparents and go catholic Sunday school because I father was kill in the was when I was 5.
Grandfather refused to let me anywhere a priest was with kids. He knew in 1951 that that was going on. The nuns got great joy out of smacking the back of 5 year old kids hands because they could not sit up straight or stay in the lines while using as coloring book. The nuns enjoyed it more when the blood came out of the back of my hands and that was a monthly occurrence. The priest was advised and his replay was they will have to do what they are told.
I’ve only been in a catholic church 5 times since 1954.
Two weddings of cousins and 3 fellow police officers.
If I live to be 100 plus and never a priest or nun it will a happy rest of my life.

Well said. The moral authority of the catholic faith has probably been removed for sinturies! (no I meant to spell it that way)

  10. Jerry says

Given the track record of the perverted priests, a few strippers shouldn’t be a major issue. If the club is not breaking the law then they have just as much right to continue business as usual as the so called church *** note*** I was catholic for 18 years! That religion is nothing more than an oversized brainwashed cult. Any authority handed down from Christ has long long been perverted away.

Not all bars, clubs, poker rooms, casinos and strip clubs promote
Prostitution and moral decay. Most strip clubs are not nude. Most
Strip clubs are not even pick up joints!
Even if a strip club is closed, customers and dancers will not change their ways,
They will go elsewhere. If they break laws, they should be corrected using our
Time tested judicial process. It’s some of the people who create problems, do not punish the clubs.
No one is required to go into a strip club. They go on their own choosing ; it’s called
DEMOCRACY, THEY HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO DO SO.
