As the 15th anniversary of the September 11th attacks approaches this weekend, the politically correct police are already threatening to alter the facts of that tragic day.
A September 11th memorial in Owego, N.Y., set to be dedicated Saturday, has recently been at the center of a controversy because local Muslims claim the wording of “nineteen Islamic terrorists” encourages Islamophobia, WICZ reports.
There is a big difference between hate mongering and historical fact. Luckily for the validity of American history, the Owego city manager understands that and is refusing to back down to political correctness.
The full memorial reads, “On September 11th, 2001 nineteen Islamic terrorists unsuspectedly boarded four airliners departing east coast airports to hijack the planes and carry out a series of coordinated attacks against the United States. This is a tribute to all the lives lost that day and to the heroic sacrifice of all who rushed to help. As Americans, we honor their memory by living our lives in freedom.”
While to most, this seems like an honorable tribute to all those who lost their lives on that catastrophic day, the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier immediately took offense.
According to the group, those two words, “Islamic terrorists” cannot coincide without becoming politically incorrect, regardless if they are valid.
A spokesperson for the organization told WICZ that those words are a “brush against the many Muslims who live in the Southern Tier.”
City Manager Donald Castelluci told Fox News’ Todd Starnes that they have no plans to change the inscription.
“I don’t live in a politically correct world. I live in a historical fact world… whether it’s American, homegrown, Christianity, Islamic, you call it what it is. And we don’t whitewash things, especially here.”
And Castelluci is 100 percent correct. On September 11th, 2001, Islamic extremists affiliated with the terrorist group al-Qaeda, carried out an attack that killed over 3,000 people, including more than 400 police officers and firefighters.
It would be a disservice to the memory of those heroes who lost their lives that morning to alter facts in order to avoid upsetting the Muslim community living in New York today.

I feel there is absolutely nothing wrong with this wording and very proud of the men and women that lost their lives to help others. If anything the Muslims living in NY (or anywhere for that matter) should be condemning the radical Islamic and should be protesting any and all terrorist attacks anywhere in the world but I have yet to see or hear any protest from the Muslim people, After all the Quran states ” Death to all that do not believe in the Jihad”

Have Congress – both Houses – issue a Joint Resolution which states something similar to the following:
WHEREAS America and Americans have opened their arms to refugees fleeing war-torn lands, and
WHEREAS America and Americans have provided sanctuary to those enduring oppression and violence, and
WHEREAS all such refugees, from whichever country involved, agreed to live IAW US law while here, and
WHEREAS Americans have generously provided assistance in the form of housing, transportation, communication, clothing, food and etc., and
WHEREAS Shar’ia Law intends to replace ALL law worldwide, including our US Constitution,
THEREFORE anyone who teaches, promulgates, promotes, practices, or worse, imposes Shar’ia Law upon ANYone in America is to be immediately arrested, then charged with being a Domestic Enemy of the Constitution, and upon conviction, have enough of their assets seized and sold to provide passage to the nearest country that DOES practice Shar’ia law. This is a political protest. Has nothing to do with religion, nor does any terrorist attack. Terrorism is not a religious act, but is a violent political act which is different than other political acts such as voting that are not violent. Coupled with the fact that mosque and govt are co-mingled in islam due to sharia law this proves that islam is a form of govt and is also a RINO. Religion in name only. But political in nature! Well first off personally I think all religion should be band because there is more blood shed over religion then any war has called.
Second. I worked in a state prison and the Muslims in that jail (about 700 of a 2300 population of inmates in that jail) complained about while they went to the chapel for there evening praying that they were offended but the eagle on top of the pole that held the American flag… It was ordered to remove the eagle and during Christmas time it is not allowed to have a Christmas tree in the chapel.
This is just a couple politically correct things within the prison system that made me decide to retire at the beginning of the year. I could go on but this is about the plaque going in at ground zero and I don’t care if it states radical or just Islamic terrorist because the way I see it all true Muslims are terrorist.

My mother’s family immigrated from Sweden & my father’s from Ireland in the 1800’s. My mother’s family refused to teach their American born children the Swedish language & became Americanized. My father’s family changed their surname to sound more American. This was all done out of respect to the United States. All immigrants, legal & illegal, need to do the same thing. Immigrants should not be allowed to come to OUR country & insist on changes to benefit their lives. No Shariah Law should be allowed. U.S. law should be followed. That includes the law that prohibits illegal aliens. All should be sent back. If they want to return, they can do it legally & profess to become true Americans. I’ve heard New citizens don’t have to promise to defend the United States if called upon. That is wrong. They should have to fight & defend our country if they are here. I am a female, senior citizen & I am armed & ready to defend my home, family, community, state & country if it becomes necessary. I probably wouldn’t last long, but I wouldn’t go down without a fight.
