She loves to take shots at Donald Trump’s verbal gaffes. But over the years, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has said some things that range from silly to downright un-American.
Here are five head-scratchers that Hillary would like you to forget (feel free to add your own in the comments section).
#5 “So I may have short-circuited it.” — August 2016
That was Clinton’s recent (and terrible) attempt to avoid admitting she lied when she claimed that FBI Director James Comey said her answers about her private email server were truthful. She keeps inventing new ways to lie about lying.
#4 “The great story here… is this vast right-wing conspiracy that has been conspiring against my husband since the day he announced for president.” — January 1998
This may be our favorite. This was Hillary Clinton defending her husband President Bill Clinton against accusations that he had sex with intern Monica Lewinsky, just months before Slick Willy finally came clean. Looks like there was a conspiracy after all — but it originated right in the Oval Office.
#3 “Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs.” — October 2014
If businesses aren’t creating jobs, then who is? Certainly not our Welfare State government. We’re guessing Clinton left this line out of her paid Wall Street speeches.
#2 “We just can’t trust the American people to make those types of choices.” — June 1993
If you want a look at the socialist utopia Hillary Clinton has planned for all of us, this sums it up in a nutshell. Clinton said this when trying to promote her disastrous HillaryCare health care overhaul that even her husband and Democratic allies turned their backs on.
#1 “Put this on the ground! I left my sunglasses in the limo. I need those sunglasses. We need to go back!” — Published in 2003
Does Clinton entitlement know no bounds? This quote came from Air Force Lt. Colonel Robert Patterson’s book “Dereliction of Duty,” where he describes First Lady Clinton trying to force a landing of the Marine One helicopter.
Fortunately, the military personnel aboard the chopper told Clinton something she doesn’t hear often — no.
