It’s perhaps celebrities’ favorite time of year again.
The November election cycle.
And that means it’s time for Hollywood’s most liberal stars to promise to leave the country if President Donald Trump wins. Of course, many stars on this list are repeat offenders, after 2016 saw a mass of threats to leave the country.

None of them actually ever did.
But here we are once again.
Here are the 10 top celebrities threatening to leave this time around:
Bruce Springsteen
The legendary rocker is a well-known critic of Trump. Springsteen recently made headlines for acknowledging that he’d rather move to Australia than live in America under another four years of the Trump administration.
Citing his love for The Land Down Under, Springsteen also guaranteed the outcome of the election. He said, “if Trump is re-elected – which he will not be; I’m predicting right now he’s gonna lose – if by some happenstance he should be, I’ll see you on the next plane.”
John Legend (and Chrissy Teigen)
Pop singer John Legend and television personality Chrissy Teigen, with whom the President has publicly feuded with, admitted that they’re planning to flee the country as well.

Legend, in an interview with Cosmopolitan U.K., accused Trump of trying to destroy democracy, while also confessing that it would be difficult to leave behind the place they consider home.
Ricky Martin
Not only has the Latin pop icon teased a departure from the U.S., but he’s also been a major supporter of Democratic contender Joe Biden for years. On a recent podcast, he told fans that he and his spouse were in talks to leave should Trump win the election, but backtracked in the same interview, stating that they’re going to fight back against a second term.
“We just take it one day at a time and we’ve had plans like we might leave the country, but no,” he told the Variety and iHeart podcast. “We have to stay here and we have to fight for our rights and what we believe.”
Tommy Lee
The former Mötley Crüe frontman says he’ll go back to Greece — where he was originally born.
“I’ll go back to my motherland,” he told culture magazine The Big Issue, “go back to go Greece and get a house on one of the islands.”
Lee’s dislike of Trump has long been evident, as he has recently spoken out against the President on issues of both the coronavirus global pandemic and the wildfires raging in California.
Of course, this celebrity liberal nonsense has been going on well before 2020.
Here are five other celebrities who once upon a time made empty threats to leave the country because of Trump in 2016:
Chelsea Handler
After teasing that she was seriously considering moving to Canada or Spain after the 2016 election, the star talk show host claims that she was talked into staying by a close friend.

Lena Dunham
The actress, who once told media outlets, “I really will,” when asked about moving to Canada, eventually came clean on her phony threat. “It’s easy to joke about moving to Canada,” she admitted.
Samuel L. Jackson
The long time actor was famously quoted on late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live, claiming he would go back to South Africa.
He’s still in America.
John Stewart
The veteran political commentator and television personality took things further: in 2015 he declared he’d leave the Earth entirely if Trump won.
He’s still grounded here on American soil.
Cher
And the Grammy-winning musician Cher insisted that she’d follow suit and leave the planet, too.
We’ll believe it when we see it.
