Police say a 13-year-old boy was hit by a stray bullet while he was lying in bed inside a Massachusetts apartment.

Chelsea police say the boy was in a third-floor apartment Wednesday night when he was struck in the shoulder by a stray bullet fired from the street.

The boy was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released his name.

The shooting happened near Bunker Hill Community College’s Chelsea Campus. The school says on Twitter that the campus was on lockdown for about 30 minutes due to the incident.

Police say they’re looking for two suspects who fled the scene in an SUV.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.

No way this could have occurred with the strict firearm laws in MA.

Why not, guns are available to anyone, anywhere they want to have them. What difference does the city make? You live in a dream world if you think it can’t happen in any city, any town, any community, any neighborhood, any street. Do you live in the United States or in the world at this time of the unrest and upset all over this world? Have you listened to the news lately? What is wrong with you?

I think his comment was sarcasm. Gun bans do not work. Criminals don’t bother to fet a foid card.

Sarcasm it was SW and LaMar. The left says strict laws restricting firearms will eliminate these types of incidents. While actual statistics show legal gun owners to be law abiding. In fact it has been proven by statistics that concealed carry permit holders are more law abiding and commit fewer crimes than police officers.
MA has very strict laws limiting firearm usage and ownership. Same with Chicago. And Chicago is the murder capital of the nation.
If politicians would simply arrest, convict and not release repeat criminals, the rate of crime including those where firearms are used would plummet.
But that is not what the politicians want. They want an unarmed populace.
‘…shall not be infringed.’ So simple any fifth grader can explain it to you. And it doesn’t include ‘reasonable’ regulation.
