Rep. Maxine Waters just proved she is completely out of touch with reality.
In an interview on Bloomberg Thursday, she made the claim that when she calls for the impeachment of President Donald Trump, she “inspires” people.
But is she forgetting that the head of the Democratic Party, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, is actively trying to silence her?
Waters inflated her own ego, saying, “I encourage people, I inspire people, and I show people that you do not have to be intimidated. You do not have to be afraid. You do not have to be traditional. You need to step outside of the box and tell it like it is. That is what I do everywhere I go. I say ‘Impeach 45.’ I get people knowing and understanding that perhaps he should be impeached, and focus on what he has done, the way he has defined himself, his relationship with Putin, and the belief that there has been collusion and obstruction of justice, it is all there. I will talk about it everywhere I go.”
But talking about it everywhere she goes is the opposite of what Nancy Pelosi wants her party members to do.
According to Politico, Pelosi believes that a reputation as the “no drama” Democratic Party is their key to gaining support from the American people.
But that’s not clearly not going so well.
She has reportedly strategized in recent caucus meeting to avoid talking about impeachment and resisting to talk about whatever it is Trump has tweeted about that day.
Pelosi has a lot of work to do if she wants her party to be known as the no drama Dems — starting with Waters.
