It Megyn Kelly’s career coming to an end?
The troubled “Today” show host will be absent from her NBC morning show for the rest of the week, and questions have started swirling about whether her time at the network is coming to an end following this week’s controversy over her comments about blackface.
An NBC spokeswoman said Thursday that “given the circumstances,” the network was airing repeats of “Megyn Kelly Today” on Thursday and Friday — rather than giving the controversial host any more air time.

During a segment on Halloween costumes on Tuesday, Kelly said dressing in blackface was acceptable when she was a kid, and she even expressed sympathy for a star on “The Real Housewives of New York” who darkened her face for a Diana Ross costume.
She apologized later in the day and on her show Wednesday, but there are published reports that state her time at NBC could end soon.
Following Kelly’s controversial statements on Tuesday, “The House of Cards” cast cancelled their scheduled appearance on her show.
According to The New York Times, Kelly’s show was most likely going to end prior to 2019 anyways. She was reportedly “expressing a desire to return to news and political coverage.”

In addition to her career being on the outs, Kelly has reportedly been left without a talent agency as well.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that Kelly and her talent agency, CAA, had split — but they gave no specific reason. A source close to Kelly claims it was because the agency also represents NBC News president Noah Oppenheim.
Following their split, Kelly was in talks of replacing CAA with another talent agency, but the agency’s co-president, Jay Sures, pulled out of the deal following the host’s controversial comments.
As the fallout continues to bring Kelly’s career into question, the “Today” show host has reportedly hired a top Hollywood attorney to represent her — stirring reports that she may be preparing for a fight against NBC forcing her to exit the network.

There is mounting speculation that NBC plans to use Kelly’s blackface controversy as the way to kick her to the curb. She has continued to lose viewers, and her ratings have been low since the start.
It seems that Kelly’s exit from the Peacock network may be coming sooner, rather than later.
