There’s a major shakeup coming to cable news primetime — and it has conservatives cheering.
Less than two years after she was promoted from her weekend show to the coveted 7:00 p.m. time slot, MSNBC’s far-left star Joy Reid is out.

Reid isn’t just being relegated back to the weekend, either.
She’s being completely removed from MSNBC’s lineup, according to Mediaite Editor-in-Chief Jon Nicosia — and it’s allegedly because of a hidden secret from her past that she has tried to cover up.
Insiders say that Reid “does not have a show come mid Spring.” One source said, “Decision has been made, the only thing left is messaging on the move, which will be ratings.”
Nicosia reported Thursday that Reid has allies still at MSNBC and its parent company, Comcast. But he also reported that the top brass finds her “unmanageable.”
There is also reportedly a secret from Reid’s past that is about to surface. Insiders said she was “less than truthful about past incidents” that has made defending her within the network impossible.

The move comes after Reid has consistently struggled with ratings.
In 2021, AdWeek reported that Reid ranked a lowly 25th overall among cable news shows in overall ratings.
What’s worst, her 7:00 p.m. show drew fewer viewers than MSNBC’s 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. shows. In other words, viewers deliberately tuned out when Reid came on the air.
Nicosia said MSNBC will defend Reid’s position until the last moment, just like CNN did with now-fired anchor Chris Cuomo.

Also, like Cuomo at CNN. Watch for MSNBC/Comcast to defend her right until the announcement.
