Back in February, President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech, the president called for the nation to “confront a national crisis” at our southern border.
But Trump probably never imagined that just months later, a 7-year-old boy from Austin, Texas would have up to $22,000 saved by himself to build the wall along the southern border!
Benton Stevens, who first became inspired by Trump’s speech, is being praised nationally for already raising nearly half of his goal of $50,000.
And he did it all by selling hot chocolate… all at $2 a cup!
He sat outside in his neighborhood next to a colorful sign that read, “proceeds help Trump build the wall.”

Stevens even caught the attention of Donald Trump Jr., who applauded the boy’s entrepreneurial efforts.
Love American entrepreneurship. Well done buddy!

According to ABC13, $22,000 raised will be going toward the non-profit organization, We Build the Wall, Inc.
The GoFundMe campaign has recently been in the news for a completed section of a privately-funded border wall. The group is already hard at work on completing more security along the southern border.
“Foreman Mike,” who was featured in a promotional video, praised the workers who helped construct the wall: “We’ve great people here, we couldn’t get em to stop working.”

Answering Trump’s call, more and more Americans are doing all they can to help aid the country while government funding is still in congressional deadlock.
It’s not all good news, however. Though Stevens is being celebrated championed by conservatives across the country, the young patriot is also being threatened by liberals.
His mother, Jennifer Stevens, says he has been called “little Hitler,” according to KXAN.
She and her husband Shane are both members of the Republican National Committee.
“People think he’s brainwashed,” she said. “Well, of course, he supports Trump because we do, and he hears how we talk and this and that. Call that brainwashing, but I call it parenting, because we instill our values in him.”
“That’s the price you pay when you make a political stance,” Jennifer said.
