“I will impeach Trump for Christmas,” vows Congressman

Texas Rep. Al Green, a Democrat, has promised he will impeach President Donald Trump by Christmas as a present to the radical alt-left base of the Democratic Party.

Of course, political and legal experts universally agree that it is impossible for Trump to be impeached at this point.

But that hasn’t stopped Green from promising American voters a political coup — and even House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is begging liberal lawmakers to stop their impeachment talks.

“I now announce that before Christmas, there will be a vote on the chief inciter of racism, bigotry, hatred, xenophobia, sexism, ethnocentrism,” Green promised during a House floor speech on Wednesday. “There will be a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives on the impeachment of the president!”

Green first proposed the articles of impeachment last month, a move that embarrassed fellow lawmakers and his political allies.

Pelosi warned Green to stop — but he forged ahead with his unhinged impeachment promises.

“I have been told that there are political consequences for what I will do. I accept the consequences,” Green said.

Ultimately, the move will backfire on Democrats… and Pelosi knows it.

“Yammering about impeachment might make her liberal supporters feel good, but if Pelosi she hopes to wield the speaker’s gavel again — a long shot — she needs to win some seats in Republican districts,” Fox News’ Howard Kurtz reported Friday. “And that would require more moderate candidates, not those talking about evicting a duly elected Republican president after less than a year.”

For alt-left heroes like Green, though, reality and forethought don’t seem to matter.

“Whatever others will do is their choice. My conscience dictates that I will vote to impeach. Let others do what they may. History will judge us all,” Green said. “I pray that this country will continue to reject what the inciter-in-chief, Donald J. Trump, has been causing this country to have to endure.”

In other words, Green is demanding Congress overturn the results of a Democratic election based on his feelings.

It’s a move straight out of the Democratic Party playbook.

Who needs logic, when you have emotion?
