White House denies growing Biden health concerns

President Joe Biden’s health is a growing concern — so much that even CNN is questioning the White House press secretary about the “wild speculation.”

Appearing before reporters twice before leaving D.C. the weekend, Biden frequently cough, cleared his throat, and spoke with a scratchy voice.

During a press conference on Friday, CNN’s Brian Karem questioned Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Biden’s frequent debilitating cough.

“Thanks, everyone,” Psaki said at the conclusion of the press conference.

Karem shouted his question on Biden’s health.

“Jen, we saw him coughing and sniffling earlier,” Karem asked. “Is his health OK? Because there’s wild speculation… is he all right?”

Psaki quickly dismissed the rumors that Biden was unwell.

“He’s doing great,” Psaki replied. “He has got some allergies.”

It’s just the latest in alarming questions about Biden’s cough and overall health. In mid-September, the president struggled to get through a 15-minute speech in support of Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) during his recall election.

“To these Republican governors, it … isn’t about public health, not the health of the people. It’s about politics,” he said, pausing to cough. “In Mississippi … children are required to be vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, hepatitis B, polio, tetanus, and more. It’s a state requirement…”

“Look, folks,” he said, coughing again.

“We don’t need politics in this battle against COVID. We need science, we need courage, we need leadership.”

Not everyone was convinced by Psaki’s allergy excuse.
