“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
President Joe Biden has an enormous amount of sympathy… for anyone who isn’t an American citizen.
He goes on about America’s responsibility to take in as many foreigners as humanly possible (and then some). He promises free health care and other welfare benefits to anyone, from anywhere, who can drag himself across our southern border (or pay a cartel to do it for him).

That’s created a crisis on every inch of the border. The latest flashpoint is Del Rio, Texas, where 15,000 illegal immigrants from Haiti have been camped out under a bridge for a week.
Administration mouthpiece Jen Psaki and others aren’t on the same page about what the Haitians are fleeing, and why now. They say these “refugees” want to leave political instability, or an earthquake, or violence, or…something. The important thing, they say, is America has to take in these “refugees.”
But what if they aren’t refugees? What if they’re just illegal immigrants attracted to the promise of big money?
That’s what Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies found when he traveled to Del Rio to see what’s happening for himself. The reality is nothing like what’s reported on television. “When Biden got in, word went out and they decided, we’re coming now. That was the decision point,” he said.
“I’ve interviewed 60 to 70 Haitians over the last year and it’s always the same story – Joe Biden opened the border so we decided we could upgrade our lifestyle.”
“I interviewed a guy an hour ago who said he was living in Brazil and making good money but he said he heard everyone was getting into America, so he came.”
It’s not just Bensman. One of the most widely distributed newspapers in the U.S. has admitted this is true.

“Many of those migrants, experts say, were likely already in Central America,” possibly “for more than a decade,” reported USA Today’s Mabinty Quarshie and Javonte Anderson on Wednesday. “But now, with economic opportunities drying up in Latin America as the pandemic continues, Haitian migrants are seeking asylum in the U.S.”
Most of these Haitians “fleeing” the instability of the island haven’t lived there in years!
The newspaper says that Haitians started flocking to South America to take up jobs, especially in Brazil. But the number of Haitians in Chile doubled between 2017 and 2018. Venezuela was willing to take Haitians in before their economy collapsed.
For the most part, the Haitians didn’t bother with South America’s immigration laws, either. They didn’t fill out forms or apply legally. They just showed up and started applying for jobs.
But eventually, the paper says, the region’s need for “cheap labor” (their phrase) dried up. Now, they’re heading to Del Rio and all points north.
And since these Haitians aren’t legal residents of the South American countries where they’ve been living for years, under international law, they can’t be deported back there.
USA Today reported the facts; it just didn’t make a fuss about it—and the rest of the media let the story die.
Reporters can’t even get a straight answer about how many of these Haitian “refugees” have been released into the U.S. So, an unnamed Biden administration source told the Associated Press that Haitian illegals have been released into the interior of the United States on a “very, very large scale.”

We don’t know the number, but…a lot.
Some of the unlucky ones have started heading for home… in Tapachula, Mexico, where they actually live. Illegal Haitian immigrants leaving Del Rio told Bensman “that they intend to stay in Mexico until the current crisis blows over and the threat of deportation passes, then try to enter the U.S. again at a different location.”
“Illegal aliens leaving Del Rio out of fear of deportation to Haiti demonstrates the power of deportations,” said Bensman. “But I fear they are only being used at the one spot along a very long border.”
“Deportations should be utilized as an enforcement mechanism all along the border and for all nationalities. This would end the whole illegal immigration crisis, especially if combined with action by the Mexican government, as we are seeing now. But there is no messaging from the Biden administration that this is more than temporary.”
More importantly, there is no messaging from the Biden administration that a massive influx of illegal immigrants is anything other than what they want. Protecting our borders is the furthest thing from their mind.
