She looks like a loving grandmother — but CNN star Jim Acosta didn’t exactly get a warm welcome from this no nonsense senior citizen on Monday.
Acosta left his comfort zone in Washington, D.C. and traveled to West Columbia, South Carolina to report on a political rally in support of Gov. Henry McMaster and President Donald Trump.
There, Acosta came face-to-face with real America… and he got an earful.
Led by one brave elderly woman, the crowd started to chant, “Go home, Jim!” and held up a sign that said, “CNN Sucks” in the middle of the network’s broadcast.
She was an instant star. Other mainstream media outlets stopped what they were doing to record the senior.

The crowd loved it too —

The exchange left the CNN White House correspondent fuming, and he took to social media to complain about the incident.
Acosta implied the grandmother was trying to intimidate him, tweeting: “While we have had people come up to us and be nice. I had an elderly woman just a short while’s come up to me — she came up to me & said that we at CNN should get the f*** out of this auditorium… She turned to the crowd & whipped them up into a frenzy.”
The use of foul language has been disputed by other reporters. According to The Daily Wire, there is no video evidence the woman cursed at Acosta.
