Watch: Karine Jean-Pierre encourages women to tell ‘whoring stories’

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden trekked to Virginia to hold his first campaign rally of the election year, and he focused on one issue: abortion.

But it didn’t go over great.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Tuesday that the administration would tell the “whoring stories” of women experiencing difficult pregnancies.

According to the transcript, Jean-Pierre meant to say “harrowing” and accidentally said “horroring,” which isn’t a word. Still, some observers heard it as “whoring stories.”

NBC News White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell asked Jean-Pierre about the Biden administration’s messaging tactics on abortion.

“Do you get a sense that the President is going to find ways to do more to personalize this story of how women are affected by it? He cited ways where women are not getting medical care,” O’Donnell asked. “He talked about how influential it is. Is there some other outreach that he can do?”

Jean-Pierre noted the Biden administration’s role for Kate Cox, the Texas woman seeking an exception to her state’s abortion law.

According to the transcript, Jean-Pierre said —

What I will say as it relates to outreach — there is something that I will share with all of you. On Sunday, the President and the First Lady spoke to Kate Cox…

The First Lady invited Kate to join her as a guest at the State of the Union, and Kate accepted. So, those are ways that you’re going to hear the President lift up those very personal stories…

It is important for Americans to hear the horroring [harrowing] stories that we’re hearing from women of their experiences across the country.

Biden is set to give the State of the Union on March 7. The bumbling president might make some verbal errors… but hopefully none as shocking as Jean-Pierre’s.

Take a look —
