It’s been a decade since Hillary Clinton’s ill-fated run for the presidency — and she’s definitely not over it.
In a recent interview with Democracy Docket, Clinton called for the elimination of the Electoral College system that denied her a 2016 presidential victory.
But Clinton’s reasons for wanting to eliminate the Electoral College are hypocritical — and insane. The same candidate who used the Democratic National Committee’s archaic “superdelegate” system to rig a 2016 primary fight against Bernie Sanders says she’s now worried the Electoral College disempowers individual voters.
This is also the same candidate who cherry-picked New York for a Senate run when her approval ratings were tanking and she knew most states would not elect her.
Clinton never won an election she didn’t rig in her own favor — but now she’s standing up for individual voters? We’re not buying it — but judge for yourself!
Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Electoral College:
“An anachronism that was designed for slave owning states."
In the meantime, she wants states to award their electoral votes to the popular vote winner and legislation to protect that from “Supreme Court interference."… pic.twitter.com/uPCdY6ytPP
