Iran is consistently rated one of the worst countries in the world for women’s rights. Women are not free to dress as they like, travel freely, or even hold many of the same jobs as men.
But try telling that to these know-it-all college kids, who apparently think every night is ladies’ night in Tehran. When a journalist recently asked a group of college students which country oppresses women more — the United States or Iran — the students actually had trouble answering.
They were happy to criticize the United States, but went out of their way to avoid saying anything negative about Iran. Some students thought the two nations oppressed women equally — or that the United States was worse.
