CNN’s Jim Acosta has made a grand appearance in the headlines once again.
President Donald Trump hosted Brazilian President Jair Bolsaonaro in the Rose Garden but didn’t call on the CNN star… and it left Acosta very mad. Instead, a Daily Caller journalist was able to ask a series of questions to both U.S and Brazilian leaders, respectively.
Visibly upset, Acosta took to the airwaves to complain about how unfairly he was treated. The veteran reporter accused The Daily Caller journalist of feeding Trump easy questions.

“The question was asked in a way that really teed it up, like a game of tee-ball here in the Rose Garden,” Acosta said. “The president was just sort of served up a softball, there, when he was asked whether or not the Democrats were advancing a lot of socialist ideas.”
Beyond wasting viewers time, Acosta was also just flat out wrong. More “fake news” from CNN.
The so-called “softball” question for Trump wasn’t for him — it was actually directed at the Brazilian President Bolsaonaro. It sounded vastly different than Acosta’s jealous perspective implied.
“President Bolsaonaro, in another question on the 2020 election, a number of Democrats who are running to replace the president have embraced or considered socialist ideas,” the reporter actually asked. “You’ve spoken critically of that in the past. If a socialist, or a candidate who embraces socialism were to replace the president, how would it affect your relations with United States?”
The president of Brazil was a socialist — Bolsaonaro has been very critical of his policies. Of course, no one on the CNN panel bothered to correct Acosta.
And the most disgusting part? Acosta was famous for lobbing “softballs” at former President Barack Obama.
Once upon a time when Obama was part of a joint press conference with the Brazilian president, Acosta served up this little softie:

“I wanted to ask you about what some people are calling your best week ever, last week,” Acosta said to Obama. “You had two Supreme Court decisions support the Affordable Care Act and gay rights; you also delivered a speech down in Charleston that was pretty warmly received… It seems you built up some political capitol for the remaining months of your presidency, I’m curious how you want to use it? What hard things do you want to tackle at this point?”
