Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer loves to get his face on camera — even is he ends up making a fool of himself.
In April, Schumer showed up in New York City to proudly cut the ribbon on a so-called “deliverista” hub.
Basically, it’s a glorified shack where food delivery drivers can rest and charge their bikes.
Critics had been warning for years that the small building — which took a whopping five years to build — was a total boondoggle and the latest example of city waste and taxpayer abuse.
And, boy, were they right. The building has been beset by electrical and other logistical problems. And recent video shows it still closed… two months after Schumer allegedly “opened” it.
The hub is becoming a million-dollar monument to government waste… and you can see for yourself!
Chuck Schumer funneled $1 million in federal taxpayer cash for a “Deliverista Hub,” a fancy shelter for food delivery drivers in NYC, while the gig companies raked in billions.
It “opened” with a ribbon-cutting… and days later it’s locked, dark, empty, and useless due to… pic.twitter.com/6FaldBhItU
