In Washington, D.C., Republican lawmakers brought a cheering crowd to their feet on Wednesday night… and President Joe Biden had the opposite effect.
The 2021 Congressional Baseball Game is a popular charity event that has been held annually since 1909, excluding the 2020 game that was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.
But Biden didn’t receive the warm welcome he expected when he made a surprise appearance.

Facing a possible defeat for his ambitious, massive spending plan in Congress on Thursday, Biden took time to make an appearance at the charity event.
Critics noted that Biden hasn’t visited the U.S.-Mexico border or taken questions from reporters on the Afghanistan debacle… but he had time to take in a Congressional baseball game.
The crowd wasn’t shy about how they felt about the 46th president.
The Democratic side of the ballpark briefly erupted in cheers and the chant, “Build Back Better” but were quickly drowned out by the boos from the rest of the stadium.

The biggest highlight of the night came from Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.), who hit the first out of the park homerun in over 40 years.
