Democratic leaders are scrambling after a hashtag went viral on Twitter by fed-up Democrats that are walking away from the party. Former Dem loyalists are tired of the far-left rhetoric and alt-left violence — and that’s trouble for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and company come November.
The #Walkaway movement was started by a registered Democrat that decided to walk away from liberalism after deciding that the party was taking advantage of its own racial, sexual, and religious minorities in America.
The campaign quickly caught on with social media users sharing their own walk away stories.
Actor James Woods joined in on the movement sharing his story behind leaving the Democratic party.
“I was a registered Democrat for the greater portion of my voting life. The #Clintons cinched it for me. I was an #Independent through the Bush years. Obama was an eight year blank. The hatred and violence the @Democrats now promote convince me I was right to #WalkAway…,” he tweeted.
