Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared to have a “mystery” object fall out of her pants while walking on stage at the Democratic National Convention last night.
Pelosi waved to the crowd as she took the DNC stage and prepared to deliver her speech endorsing Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
But during her entrance, an unknown white object slid off her pant leg, with Pelosi pausing to glance at it.
ABC News even caught the gaffe during its coverage.
As to what actually fell off of Pelosi?
Well, the internet is speculating wildly… guessing everything from toilet paper, to stock tips, to a notecard.

Harmless enough, but the footage led to a surge of amusing theories about what the object was, including many who believed that the item was a piece of toilet paper.
“Toilet paper fell out of Nancy Pelosi’s pant leg when she walked onto stage,” Malaysia-based commentator Ian Miles Cheong said.

Another user mocked Pelosi over allegations that she used her position in office to leverage the stock market.

A writer for the conservative blog Not The Bee went as far as to upload the clip in slow motion in an effort to identify the item. The blog also suggested that the item may have been a note card.

As for Pelosi’s actual speech?
She pledged her support to Harris remarking that the Democratic presidential nominee “is astute and strategic in winning difficult elections, quickly securing the nomination with dignity and grace and choosing Tim Walz as our vice president,” according to entertainment magazine Deadline.
Pelosi also praised President Joe Biden, claiming “Democrats deliver[ed]” in four years “thanks to President Biden’s patriotic vision of a fair America doing so with liberty and justice for all.”
This despite reportedly played a big role in pressuring Biden to drop out of the 2024 race, telling him his exit could happen “the easy way or the hard way.”
Pelosi’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the mystery object.
