A fleet of boaters in Jupiter, Fla. embarked on a mass sail down the east coast in support of President Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign.
Problems arose when one of the boaters, Carlos Gavidia, was told by docking management to take down the political “Trump 2020” flag flying on his boat.
No sweat, Gavidia said.
He gladly complied and took down his “Trump 2020” flag… and instead, had his entire boat in Trump decals, getting around the rules with a clever play.
The controverisal stunt quickly went viral — and earned him an invite onto Fox News.
Gavidia appeared on Sean Hannity’s show this week to discuss the move.
“I had a Trump flag, I took it down but I really wanted to support the President. I named the boat ‘Trump,’ and within four days I had my buddy make me a wrap and I was off to the races,” he said.
You can see a picture of the boat below, in Hannity’s tweet:

But Hannity wasn’t the only one who noticed and commended Gavidia and the hundreds of other boaters.
The President himself chimed in, saying he supported boaters 100 percent.
“Thank you very much to our beautiful ‘boaters.’ I will never let you down!”

Critics went after Gavidia and complained that Hannity referred to him as a hero.
“Hero” seems like a stretch, on Twitter user wrote.

Another user implied the boat would sink:
