It’s been a little more than one month since Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on former president Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
Trump managed to walk away with with a bullet wound to his ear. But unfortunately, the attempted assassination left multiple rally goers wounded, and one dead.
Fast forward to today, and the threats against Trump continue to amass.
The latest threat was caught on live TV, with Trump able to alertly escape.
Trump abruptly ended an exclusive interview with NewsNation this past Thursday when his security detail alerted the him that he would not be safe continuing the interview.
“Can I tell you something? We’re in danger standing here talking,” Trump said during an interview with NewsNation’s Ali Bradley at the U.S. southern border. “So let’s not talk any longer.”
“(Security) doesn’t want me standing here. They don’t want you standing here either.”

The on-air incident of security whisking away Trump is the latest in a string of dangers targeting Trump.
According to The Hill, the NewsNation incident came a day after Arizona law enforcement agencies announced they were conducting a manhunt for an Arizona man who allegedly threatened to kill Trump in a social media post. Officials with the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office say they are looking for 66-year-old Ronald Lee Syvrud, who they consider an “investigative lead for threats to kill a presidential candidate.”
And over the past few weeks, multiple reports have surfaced over Iran’s involvement in attempts on Trump’s life
Earlier this month, federal authorities arrested and charged a 46-year-old Pakistani with ties to the Iranian government for his involvement in an alleged murder-for-hire plot against American political figures — including Trump.
Even Attorney General Merrick Garland has also sounded the alarm on Iran plotting to attack — physically or virtually — U.S. officials like Trump.

“We believe that the Iranians are attempting to kill or injure former high ranking government officials,” Garland told NBC News. “I don’t think we’ve seen the end of Iran plotting, no.”
Expect the security around Trump to be ramped up as he escalates his campaign appearances ahead of the November election.
