“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
President Joe Biden has nominated a Cabinet appointee with ties to Jeffrey Epstein and, for once, he’s getting major resistance from inside his own party.
Biden tapped scientist Eric Lander to be director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)—and, to show the Democrats are “the party of science,” Biden has for the first time made OSTP a Cabinet-level office.
Lander has headed the Broad Institute at Harvard and MIT, been a part of the Human Genome Project, and served as one of the top scientific advisers to President Barack Obama…
And he also met with—and possibly took money from—Jeffrey Epstein.
After Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest for pedophilia, BuzzFeed News broke the news that Epstein had funded science projects at Ivy League universities.
Epstein—who died with a net worth of more than $559 million on paper, although the true extent of his wealth and perversion, remains unknown—was once a high school science teacher.
He poured millions of dollars into colleges in order to build a reputation as a philanthropist.
BuzzFeed published pictures of Lander meeting with Epstein in April 2012…while Lander was an adviser to Barack Obama.
Lander claims they only met twice, and he never took a dime from Epstein—even though Epstein’s website put Lander on the payroll.
After the scandal broke, Lander emailed his colleagues that he “had no association with (Epstein),” and he’s “glad we chose to have no dealings with him.”
The Biden administration is covering for Lander, too. “Dr. Lander briefly met Epstein in Spring 2012, at two events with multiple Harvard donors, faculty and others,” a White House spokesperson admitted to Politico. But he “correctly decided to have nothing to do with Epstein,” and “neither Dr. Lander nor the Broad (Institute) solicited nor received any funding support from Epstein or his foundations, nor did he or the Broad have any relationship with Epstein.”
Well, that’s not the story Jeffrey Epstein told.
Before he died under mysterious circumstances, one of Epstein’s websites named the names of scientists who took Epstein’s millions in donations—and Eric Lander is listed. (You can see an archived version of that website here.)
What’s more, Biden knew about the association before he tapped Lander to head the agency and bump it up to the Cabinet level.
BuzzFeed News ran the story of Lander’s meeting with Epstein in August 2019. But Biden—or whoever’s really running the administration—still decided to make Lander part of the same high-powered group of advisors as the Secretary of State or Defense.
That’s too much even for some Democrats.
Now Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., wants to know more about Lander’s relationship with the disgraced pedophile and Democratic megadonor.
She said she plans to probe the association during Lander’s hearings on April 29.
Lander is the only one of Biden’s Cabinet appointee yet to have a vote…maybe because Biden was putting off the embarrassment.
At the time, MIT promised a full investigation into which faculty members received these donations—and fired one employee for cashing Epstein’s checks.
Epstein allegedly committed suicide in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center in 2019, conveniently before he could testify about others who may have been part of his twisted sex ring.
Doubt has swirled around Epstein’s death ever since, with onetime Chief Forensic Pathologist for the New York State Police, Dr. Michael Baden, telling 60 Minutes that he’d “never seen three fractures like this in a suicidal hanging.”
But Epstein’s survivors don’t want any more revelations coming to light. Attorney Sigrid McCawley has claimed Epstein’s estate is trying to block any investigation into the mega-millionaire’s unsavory history.
Neither would a lot of very prominent people, including many in Washington.
Epstein gave millions in political donations to both parties—including Biden’s “Climate Envoy,” John Kerry, as well as Chuck Schumer, Bill Clinton, Elliot Spitzer, and Bob Packwood.
Bill Clinton made at least 26 visits to Epstein’s island, often flying aboard the “Lolita Express,” and Epstein had a bizarre painting of Clinton wearing a blue dress.
Interest in Epstein’s “suicide” has faded thanks to the developments of 2020, but Biden’s Cabinet appointment threatens to open a whole new can of worms about just how cozy the Democratic Party was with this pedophile donor.
Coincidentally, Joe Biden was inaugurated on Jeffrey Epstein’s birthday – January 20, 2021. Epstein would have been 68. Biden is 78.
By appointing Lander to his Cabinet, Biden may be giving Epstein one final present.
