President Donald Trump told Fox News executives to clean house and demanded that two of the network’s top stars be immediately fired late Sunday.
Trump directed his sharpest attack at Jessica Tarlov, the liberal co-host of The Five, and sent a message directly to network brass calling for her removal.
“For Fox executives only, take Jessica Tarlov off the air,” the president wrote. “She is, from her voice, to her lies, and everything else about her, one of the worst ‘personalities’ on television, a real loser! People cannot stand watching her. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT.”
Tarlov serves as The Five’s Democratic voice and has made a habit of attacking Trump on-air and on social media. It’s not the first time she’s drawn his fire. Last month, Trump called into The Five while Tarlov was absent and told the panel he was “not a fan.”
“I think your show would be better without her, but who am I to say that?” Trump said.
Fox News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream also caught heat. Trump demanded her removal over a softball Sunday interview with Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Jake Auchincloss.
“Tell Shannon Bream of Fox News that it’s not the Save Act, it’s the Save America Act, a big difference!” Trump wrote. “Also, when she insists on having lightweight Democrat Congressmen, such as Jake Auchincloss, on her not very hard hitting show, she should correct them when they spew out Democrat propaganda and lies. She never does!”
During the Sunday interview, Auchincloss accused Trump of having no strategy in the ongoing conflict with Iran.
“I always close deals, unlike the Dems, and did great with China in every way, also, unlike the Dems!” Trump fired back.
