Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is the clear front-runner of the 2020 Democratic field — and Fox News’ Tucker Carlson says he’s discovered why.
Warren’s so-called “woke” progressive friends in the mainstream media are actively campaigning on her behalf and it’s coming at the expense of common sense.

“It is, it’s fair to say, a brand new Democratic field,” Carlson said on his show Wednesday. “For the better part of a year, former Vice President Joe Biden dominated the polls and the other candidates in the field attacked him from the left (which was weird to see).”
“Biden still believes in law enforcement and international borders, and he opposed forced bussing, along with virtually every other American,” so he is too right-wing for the current Democratic Party, Carlson said regarding the recent 2020 Democratic debate.
No one thinks Biden is going to be the Democratic nominee, Carlson said — it’s Warren’s race to lose.
And the treatment of Warren versus Biden (or any politician that’s not a far-left extremist) in the media is proof, Carlson said.

And so-called “journalists” at The Washington Post and academics are coming out to say so in plain English.
“Journalists don’t like Joe Biden. Biden has zero allies in America’s ‘woke’ newsrooms. Warren, by contrast, has plenty of allies pretending to be journalists,” Carlson said.
“For example, on Wednesday morning, [New York University] journalism professor Jay Rosen … demanded that reporters stop asking specific questions about Warren’s policies,” the Fox News star shared.
Tucker Carlson then shared a social media statement Rosen made after the debate in which he demanded journalists not ask Warren tough questions —

The "make Elizabeth warren say she would raise taxes on the middle class" question should be a credibility killer. For the journalists who keep asking it.

Margaret Sullivan of The Washington Post agreed with Rosen, and wrote that asking Warren tough questions about her tax policies means they’re “doing President Trump’s work for him.”
Journalists are kindly doing President Trump’s work for him when they insist on trying to pin down Senator Elizabeth Warren to declare she would raise taxes to fund Medicare-for-All. Of course, it’s legitimate to dig into the costs, but not in a way that creates a nice GOP campaign ad.
“Two journalists telling you, if the answer hurts Democrats, don’t ask the question,” Carlson said. “Don’t tell your readers or viewers what the truth is if it increases the chances that Donald Trump could get reelected.”
That’s pure propaganda, he explained.

“It is the definition of propaganda. Jay Rosen, a journalism professor, telling journalists not to ask questions,” Carlson concluded. “Unbelievable.”
