Fox News host Tucker Carlson showcased the greatest fear of the Democratic Party establishment leaders and the media elite on his show Thursday night: An American truck driver that won’t back down.
With just $153, this trucker unseated one of New Jersey’s most powerful Democratic insiders.

New Jersey state Senator-elect Ed Durr joined Carlson to talk about how a simple furniture store truck driver unseated one of the most powerful liberals in his state. Carlson said that Durr came “out of nowhere to defeat one of the most powerful politicians in the state of New Jersey.”
Durr said he was fed up with the broken system, and rather than leave he said he was committed to fixing it.
“How much were you motivated to run for office by concerns like inflation and gas prices? Was that meaningful to you?” Carlson asked the former truck driver.
Durr said his election was “a perfect storm.”
“You not only had the high cost of living in this state and the worst tax rate… the worst business tax rate,” Durr said. “You had people being told they couldn’t live, they couldn’t go to stores, they couldn’t go to church. You had the nursing home deaths. It just became a combination of everything, and I got fed up with it.”
“I’m not leaving the state,” Durr said. “I’m going to fix the state.”
“That’s a triumph of democracy,” Carlson replied. “That’s a citizen that decides they want a hand in running their government.”
Almost a week after New Jersey state Senate President Steve Sweeny lost his re-election bid, Durr said he finally conceded this week.

“He congratulated me and just wished me luck, [told me] to do well for South Jersey,” Durr told Carlson.
“I told him, you know, if he ever needs anything, just give me a call,” he said. “Because I’m his representative now.”
