Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley may be running for president, but she’s also emerged as a possible running mate for her top rival, former President Donald Trump.
Supporters of the idea have called for a Republican unity ticket — but conservative commentator Tucker Carlson just said no way.
Carlson said Monday that he would never vote for a combined Trump-Haley ticket.
The podcaster Tim Pool asked point-blank, “Would you vote for Trump if he chose Nikki as VP?”
In front of a live audience, Carlson said no, and then he went even further. “I would not only not vote for that ticket, I would advocate against it as strongly as I could,” Carlson told Pool.
A stunned Pool simply said, “Wow.”
Carlson doubled down.
“That’s just poison. I mean, here’s someone who’s actively opposed to the interests of the country I grew up in, who endorsed the BLM riots, and who is not left, but is neoliberal in the darkest, most – speaking of nihilist – nihilistic way, and has no real popular support, is a creature of the oligarchs. So yeah, that would be– that would be reason to oppose the ticket,” Carlson said.
Carlson also slammed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, another candidate, for his “nasty” associations and his statements on foreign policy.
“I like him, but his donor, Ken Griffin, told him to change his view on Ukraine from, ‘It’s a regional conflict we shouldn’t get involved in,’ to, ‘It’s a super important thing, we should send more money.’ One donor got him to change his view,” Carlson alleged.
Calson also went after social media personalities that backed the DeSantis campaign.
“The people who represent him online are the nastiest, the stupidest and the most zero-sum people I have ever seen in my life,” he said in a stunner.

JUST IN: Tucker Carlson says he hates the idea of a Trump / Haley 2024 ticket and says he wouldn’t vote for it as he calls Haley a “creature of the oligarchs.”

Do you agree with Tucker Carlson about Ron DeSantis Supporters?

I HATE boxing people into categories like this. I have seen plenty of Trump supports… pic.twitter.com/0E7DIei1uB

Some pundits have floated Haley as a running mate for Trump. His daughter-in-law Lara refused to rule out the possibility of a Trump-Haley ticket. “Never say never,” Lara said on Newsmax earlier this month.
According to insiders, Trump himself has been leaning toward picking a woman as his vice presidential pick.
“We’re going to pick the best person… but I do like the concept, yes,” Trump told Kristin Welker of NBC News in September when asked about a female running mate.
Trump has refused to rule out Haley. He called the speculation “interesting” but also called Trump-Haley ticket “unlikely.”
“Right now, I’m not even thinking about that. I’ve always gotten along with Nikki,” Trump told radio host Howie Carr on Friday. “Some things in common and some things we don’t have in common, and some of those things are pretty important.”
Trump also reportedly took issue with Haley for running against him despite her old promise to step aside.
Haley said in 2021, “I would not run if President Trump ran, and I would talk to him about it.”
More recently, Haley has made jabs at Trump’s age and mental fitness. She’s called for “mandatory mental competency tests for politicians over 75 years old.”
She’s also refused to answer any questions about her willingness to become vice president. “I don’t play for second,” she reportedly told a crowd in New Hampshire earlier this month.
