Tucker Carlson prepared to “torch” Fox News

Cable news’ former number one primetime star is set to “torch” his old company in revenge, according to a bombshell new report from Axios.

Tucker Carlson want to start — or join — a rival conservative news channel to challenge Fox News Channel on the airwaves, and he’s busy recruiting allies behind the scenes.

That includes billionaire Elon Musk, who Carlson has reportedly been talking with about a joint project.

Fox News reportedly wants Carlson to remain silent for a few years in exchange for $20 million a year payday. They have Carlson under contract until Jan. 2025, which would keep him on the sidelines of the upcoming presidential election.

But Carlson is planning to build his own media empire, and wants out of the contract.

Rivals have lined up to offer Carlson more than he’s currently making from FNC.

“The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous,” Carlson’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, told Axios.

Allies of Carlson, especially those close to former President Donald Trump, are ready to fight for the ousted conservative news star.

Carlson originally wanted to end his contract with Fox News “quiet and clean” — but friends reportedly told Axios that behind the scenes, “we’re going from peacetime to Defcon 1.”

“His team is preparing for war. He wants his freedom,” the source said.

He reportedly “knows where a lot of bodies are buried [at Fox News], and is ready to start drawing a map.”

Now the war has begun behind the scenes — and will soon spill out into primetime.

After being fired, Carlson posted a video on social media promising to return and telling fans to stay tuned.
