While authorities continue to hunt down a suspect in the shocking and brutal killing of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, fellow conservative star Tucker Carlson is making sure Kirk’s family is well taken care of during this dark time.

In a move that’s gone largely unnoticed, Carlson announced yesterday that ALP, the nicotine pouch company launched by Carlson, is donating $1 million to Charlie Kirk’s family and has set up a GiveSendGo website in memory of the slain activist.

The site invites supporters and friends to contribute to help the family in the aftermath of the murder, according to an ALP statement.

“We met Charlie Kirk when he was 18, through our friend Foster Friess, and have known him well since. He was an amazing person. It’s hard to find the right words in a moment like this or to understand exactly what’s happened,” Carlson and Daily Caller publisher and co-founder Neil Patel said in a statement.

“But in the meantime we want to do everything we can for Charlie’s widow Erika and their two small children,” the statement continued. “We’ve set up a GiveSendGo page on their behalf and are seeding it with $1 million from Alp Pouch. The link is below. Every dollar will go to Charlie’s family.”

In addition to Carlson’s contributions to Kirk’s family, President Donald Trump told reporters yesterday that that he had spoken at length with Kirk’s 31-year-old wife, Erika.

“I spoke to Erika, his wife. And we had a long talk,” Trump said.

“And she’s devastated. She is absolutely devastated, as you can imagine.”

Kirk’s casket was flown to Phoenix on Thursday aboard Air Force Two with his family, close friends, Vice President JD Vance and the second lady.

Erika was spotted holding a rosary in her hand as she waved to supporters from the backseat of an SUV while escorting her husband’s body to a chapel in Arizona on Thursday evening.

She fought back tears behind a pair of sunglasses as a throng of people waving American flags greeted the motorcade outside Phoenix’s Hansen Mortuary Chapel.

President Trump also announced that he would posthumously award his close ally the Presidential Medal of Freedom – the nation’s highest civilian honor.

“Charlie was a giant of his generation, a champion of liberty and an inspiration to millions and millions of people,” said Trump.

“I’m pleased to announce that I will soon be awarding Charlie Kirk posthumously the Presidential Medal of Freedom.”

Earlier this morning, President Donald Trump said that a suspect was arrested in Kirk’s killing.

“With a high degree of certainty, we have him,” Trump announced in a live interview on Fox News Chanel on Friday morning.

He said a minister also involved with law enforcement turned the suspect, whose name was not immediately known, into authorities,

“Somebody that was very close to him said, ‘Hmm, that’s him,’” Trump said.
