Tucker Carlson and former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green are trying to lead a MAGA civil war out in the open.
The two are leading a revolt against the president they once championed.
Greene appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show Wednesday for a wide-ranging attack on Trump, the Republican Party, and what she called the corrupt “establishment donor class” running Washington.
The interview was the latest stop on a months-long media attack tour since Greene quit Congress following a bitter feud with the president she once eagerly supported.
Greene also attacked New York GOP Rep. Mike Lawler, accusing the rising Republican star of secretly hating Trump.
“He hated Donald Trump, made fun of him constantly, mimicked him, making fun of his voice. He used to attack me, make fun of me, come and find me on the House floor, and make fun of me for supporting Donald Trump, and this was in the four years before Trump got elected as president again in 2024,” Greene claimed.
“I saw this unbelievable change in him, and of course it happened after Trump won his primary in 2024,” Greene said. “All of a sudden, Mike Lawler — I started joking — I started calling him MAGA Mike Lawler because he was all of a sudden becoming Trump’s biggest supporter.”
Greene also leveled antisemitic conspiracy theory claims against Trump, and said he was forced to make a secret deal with Israel in order to become president — comments that drew immediate condemnation from Republicans, Democrats, and Jewish groups as “dangerous” and “irresponsible.”
“To become president of the United States, there’s deals that have to be made. Otherwise, you aren’t allowed to have that power,” Greene said. “No other government on Earth does every single U.S. president, the vast majority of members of Congress completely pledge their allegiance… They pledge their complete allegiance to the government of Israel and their purpose and their protection… I believe that Trump had to make a deal like this in order to become president.”
Carlson seemed to eat it all up.
The interview was the latest in a string of sharp public breaks between Carlson and the president.
Recent episodes of his show have featured the former Fox News anchor apologizing for supporting Trump in 2024, calling the president “a slave who can’t make his own decisions,” and urging the administration to cut ties with Israel over the Iran war. On Wednesday he attacked Trump directly.
“You have not done a good job running this country,” Carlson said on air.
Greene’s break with Trump has been building for months. She has accused the president of “insanity,” claimed he showed “no compassion” when death threats were made against her family, and raised questions about whether the 2024 Butler assassination attempt against him was staged.
Her original falling out with Trump stemmed from his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and what she called his excessive focus on foreign commitments over domestic priorities.

Why do neocons consistently act against the interests of the United States? It’s more than neglect. It’s hate. Marjorie Taylor Greene saw it firsthand. pic.twitter.com/HGJlRfJ3bo
