Tucker Carlson considering run for president; Ron DeSantis kicks his dog!?

Conservative star Tucker Carlson wanted out of his contract with Fox News Channel even before being sidelined from the cable news network in April.

And to get out of the contract, Carlson has reportedly considered announcing a bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

That’s according to best-selling author Michael Wolff’s upcoming book about Fox News Channel and the fallout from the $787 million Dominion Voting Systems settlement.

The book is billed as an insider’s juicy tell-all and titled The Fall: The End of Fox News and the Murdoch Dynasty, and it was previewed by The Daily Beast.

The author has a history of lambasting conservative politicians with claims of insider knowledge — gossip that has been frequently refuted by those reportedly involved.

In his new book, Wolff claims Carlson considered launching a 2024 bid so he could leave Fox News before he was fired from the network.

Carlson remains under contract until 2025, which includes a non-compete clause. In other words, he can’t join a rival news channel or start his own.

The author also claimed that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis did not impress Carlson and his wife at lunch and failed the “Susie Carlson test” to win the conservative star’s support — and even claimed DeSantis kicked the Carlson’s dog.

“For two hours Ron DeSantis sat at her table talking in an outdoor voice indoors, failing to observe any basics of conversation ritual or propriety, reeling off an unselfconscious list of his programs and initiatives and political accomplishments,” Wolff wrote.

“DeSantis pushed the dog under the table,” the book claimed. “Had he kicked the dog? Susie Carlson’s judgment was clear: she did not ever want to be anywhere near anybody like that ever again.”

Fox News Channel dismissed Wolff’s salacious claims in a statement.

“The fact that the last book by this author was spoofed in a Saturday Night Live skit is really all we need to know,” a Fox News spokesperson said.

Believe it or not, we want to hear from you.
