Is White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles the latest member of Trump’s cabinet to leave the White House?
Wiles shot down a recent report that she is planning to quit her job, insisting she has no intention of leaving her post.
Wiles dismissed the recent Daily Mail account as imaginary in a statement posted to X, writing that she had “the pleasure of reading a piece of Friday fiction, courtesy of the Daily Mail.”
Wiles expressed that she remains devoted to President Donald Trump and his team. “To be crystal clear, I am not going anywhere. I am honored and proud to serve President Trump, proud of our team and remain fully committed to advancing his agenda on behalf of the American people,” Wiles wrote.
She closed the post with “See you Monday.”

According to the Daily Mail report, five unnamed insiders claimed Wiles intended to step down once the November midterm elections passed.
The sources named in the report also tied her supposed departure to discontent over recent staffing decisions. The outlet pointed to President Trump elevating Bill Pulte to acting director of national intelligence and tapping Todd Blanche as attorney general as a catalyst to Wiles wanting to leave.
Wiles denied any such discontent.
Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair also slammed the news, calling the report “both absurd and totally false.”
Wiles revealed in March that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and would undergo treatment to fight the deadly disease.
Even at that time, Wiles says she had no intention of stepping down from her job in the Trump administration while she fights the cancer.
Wiles is the first woman ever to serve as White House chief of staff. She managed Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign before taking the role when he returned to office in January 2025, and has been considered one of his most trusted and influential advisers. She has also previously worked on campaigns for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Rick Scott.
The rumor mill surrounding Wiles’ alleged departure comes after an onslaught of recent turnover in the White House.
Kristi Noem lost her post as homeland security secretary in March, Pam Bondi exited as attorney general, Lori Chavez-DeRemer resigned as labor secretary, and Tulsi Gabbard announced she would leave her intelligence role last month.
