First is was Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Now, another top Democrat is coming forward to officially endorse former president Donald Trump in his bid for the White House.
Former Democratic representative from Hawaii, is expected to formally endorse Trump’s third presidential bid today at his event in Detroit, Michigan, a source with knowledge of the matter told CNN today.
Gabbard, who once ran for president herself — and notoriously squared off against Kamala Harris at a Democratic presidential debate — is the second high-profile Democrat to support Trump in just a few days.
The endorsement is not surprising given that Gabbard, now an independent, has been helping Trump with debate prep ahead of the September 10 face-off against Harris.
In a report from Red State, Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed Gabbard was in Florida preparing with the former president and said in a statement that Trump has “proven to be one of the best debaters in political history as evidenced by his knockout blow to Joe Biden. He does not need traditional debate prep but will continue to meet with respected policy advisers and effective communicators like Tulsi Gabbard, who successfully dominated Kamala Harris on the debate stage in 2020.”

Gabbard endorsed Joe Biden after she dropped out of the Democratic primary race in 2020, and then left the Democratic Party in 2022.
Recently, Gabbard floated the possibility of joining Trump’s cabinet should he be elected.
In June, Gabbard, was asked on the Wisconsin-based radio show The Regular Joe Show whether there was “one thing” she could do that “would be serving the country in the best way possible” if Trump is elected president.
“I think there are a few different ways I could serve, as secretary of state, secretary of defense. There are a few different ways I believe I could best serve our country,” she said.
“Ultimately, we’ve got to save our country and win this election. I look forward to finding the best way that I can do that,” she added.
Gabbard, who is now an independent, hasn’t ruled out formally joining the Republican Party. “I never say never,” she told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in June.
“We need leaders, whether you’re a Democrat or Republican or independent, whatever the label, political label that is attached to you, to put the interests of our country and the American people first and foremost,” she said.
Gabbard has been an outspoken critic of both Biden and Harris in recent weeks.
“As bad as anyone thinks President Biden is, I guarantee you a President Kamala Harris will be far more dangerous,” said Gabbard. “I have no doubt in my mind that she would go out and start a new war” in order to “prove [her] strength.”

Earlier this month, she announced that she was going to take legal action against the Biden administration for placing her on the Open Skies list — a ledger designed to be used to identify potentially dangerous individuals, triggering heightened scrutiny.
Tulsi Gabbard will be taking legal action against the Biden/Harris admin over putting her on a terrorist watch list:

“Obviously, I’ve been very outspoken about the dangers of the Biden-Harris administration to our democracy and to our freedom and to our national security. This is what happens as a result,” she said.
