President Donald Trump knocked down the controversial kneeling NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick at a campaign-style rally in Louisville, Kentucky.
Kaepernick, a former benchwarmer for the San Francisco 49ers, is now a free agent but still has not been signed to another team.

He became a controversial figure last season when he refused to stand for the National Anthem, instead opting to take a knee during the tribute to the nation that has given him the opportunity to earn millions.
“Your San Francisco quarterback, I’m sure nobody’s ever heard of him,” Trump said as the crowd reacted with loud boos.
Trump told the crowd he read an article reporting that NFL owners don’t want to pick Kaepernick up “because they don’t want to get a nasty tweet from Donald Trump.”
“Do you believe that?” he asked the enthusiastic crowd.

Trump says of the people of Kentucky, “They like it when people actually stand for the American flag.”
