Just one day before the 2024 presidential election, one of Donald Trump’s closest political allies and one of the country’s highest ranking Senators, is sounding the alarm on a doomsday election scenario.
One he believe could impact the United States for the next 100 years.
Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee believes if Democrats sweep tomorrow’s elections, they will control the nation for a century.
Lee predicted that if Democrats win both chambers of Congress and the White House, they will do four immediate things that would seize complete control of the country.
- Eliminate the filibuster in the Senate
- Add justices to the U.S. Supreme Court
- Grant Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico statehood
- Establish federal control over elections, redistricting, and campaigns.
“Day 1: Nuke the filibuster,” Lee wrote on X. “Day 2: Pack SCOTUS. Day 3: Make DC & PR states. Day 4: Enact federal takeover of elections/redistricting/campaigns. Days 5 – 36,500: Rule America uncontested for 100 years.”
If Kamala wins & Dems take control of both chambers of Congress, Dems will:
Day 1: Nuke the filibuster
Day 2: Pack SCOTUS
Day 3: Make DC & PR states
Day 4: Enact federal takeover of elections/redistricting/campaigns
Days 5 – 36,500: Rule America uncontested for 100 years

Since being elected in 2011, Lee, an outspoken Republican, has endorsed former President Donald Trump in January prior to the Iowa GOP presidential caucus, which Trump decisively easily.
He has also spared on social media with Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.
“In the global struggle between tyranny and democracy, the President of the United States must always be on the side of freedom,” Harris tweeted.
“Exactly,” Lee responded. “That’s why most of us are voting for Trump.”
Lee also attacked Harris regarding a recent post in which Harris called Trump “weak.”
“Your policies suck,” Lee said, adding, “And make Americans poorer & less free.”
Lee’s assessment of the impact of tomorrow’s election is perhaps hyperbole. But he also reflected that the Republican Party even needs to change the visual of it’s party mascot.
Social media has been ablaze with posts about the death of Peanut, a pet squirrel that was seized and euthanized in New York.
As a sign of solidarity, Lee suggested swapping the GOP’s elephant mascot for a Peanut the squirrel mascot.
“The elephant is cool, but elephants don’t live in America,” he wrote, adding, “Squirrels do! Let’s immortalize Peanut the Squirrel,” Lee suggested. “Let’s make him the official mascot of the GOP.”
Elections across the nation are very tightly contested, but we will see if Lee’s grim prediction will become a reality or not.
