The far-left policies of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., have faced considerable criticism — and one patriotic American says he’s had enough.
Since being elected in 2018, Omar has been accused of a number of wrongdoings.
She’s been accused of tax fraud, anti-Semitism, she encouraged violence against conservatives, and she even dismissed the Sep. 11th terror attacks as “some people did somethings.”

Omar’s patriotism is so non-existent that Sen. Rand Paul, R-K.Y., even offered to buy her a plane ticket to Somalia this week so Omar could learn to “appreciate America more.”
Omar’s poll numbers are terrible, and political experts consider her vulnerable in the next election. A longtime police officer and decorated Iraq War veteran from Omar’s district is taking a stand — and he’s planning to run Omar out of office.
Chris Kelley has announced a campaign as an Independent in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District in 2020.
“September 11 was a terrible loss of life, not just for police officers and firefighters and other first responders, but 3,000 people and non-combatants died, and to be dismissive of that was an outrage. I could sit and complain or I could do something about it,” Kelley told Fox News.

“I believe I can be a positive voice in standing up for people in our country, and for our first responders and the people every day on the frontlines,” Kelley said.
Kelley has been awarded 11 military medals in his 27-year career in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He’s also a 20-year veteran of the Minneapolis Police Force. He was deployed in Operation Desert Storm, and did two tours in Operation Iraq Freedom.
Kelley said he matches up well with Omar’s weaknesses — and he’s committed to making America safe.
“Immigration is a big issue right now. I believe in having a secure border; if you don’t have a border you don’t have a country and our border agents are doing a great job, but they are being overwhelmed and Congress isn’t giving them the tools they need,” he said.

He promises to run a clean campaign.
“I won’t be bringing in controversy and scandal. I will be bringing firsthand knowledge of the things that I know are going on in the community as an officer. I see a lot every day – the homelessness, the opioid crisis; I want to bring these things to the forefront and put some ideas on the table on how to deal with them,” Kelley told Fox News.
“I want to do anything I can to make people’s lives better; I just want to sit and listen to people and make some positive change.”
