“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
Left-wing Democrats, who never have any interest in reducing government spending, have a lot of suggestions lately about how you can reduce your bills.
You could buy a $66,000 electric vehicle to save $235 on service costs, the third year you own it.
You could enroll in Obamacare. Barack Obama promised “a universal health care bill” that would cut costs by $2,500 per family. (The cost of individual health insurance actually doubled, according to one estimate.)
You could eat the bugs, live in the pod, and rent everything you now own, according to the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset.
And if you really want to reduce your expenses, you could kill your children.
That financial advice came from Stacey Abrams, the Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia, on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday.
Abrams has campaigned for governor on two issues: blaming her 2018 loss on “voter suppression” and then supporting abortion with every ounce of her being (which is quite a few ounces).
There’s one problem: Voters don’t care about either issue. “Inflation ranked as the most important issue to 41% of voters in Georgia, while abortion, gun violence, and election laws each ranked as the issues of top concern for 12% of voters,” reported Fox News.
No wonder the same polls show Republican Governor Brian Kemp leading Abrams by six points.
With that in mind, veteran journalist Mike Barnicle asked Abrams, since Peach State voters care more about grocery prices and gasoline than abortion and gay pride, how on earth will her leftist social views help them?
“While abortion is an issue, it nowhere reaches the level of interest of voters in terms of the cost of gas, food, bread, milk, things like that,” Barnicle said. “What could you do as governor to alleviate the concerns of Georgia voters?”
He couldn’t have anticipated Abrams’ answer.
“Let’s be clear. Having children is why you’re worried about your price for gas. It’s why you’re concerned about how much food costs,” Abrams responded.
“It’s only politicians who see (abortion) as simply another cultural conversation. It is a real biological and economic imperative conversation that women need to have,” Abrams said.
In other words, if you can’t afford to live through the highest inflation in 40 years, it’s your fault for reproducing.

No one batted an eye at the network, including the show’s onetime pro-life Republican, Southern Baptist host.
But voters should watch her words with eyes wide open.
Abrams is no run-of-the-mill politician, as she would be the first to tell you. After Joe Biden promised to tap a black female running mate during the 2020 election, Abrams shot to the top of his vice presidential short list. She made a special appearance with Biden on MSNBC, which some called a “quasi tryout” for VP.
She’s considered an up-and-coming voice in the party… and for once, she told the ugly truth.
Critics blasted Abrams’ cold-blooded advocacy of child slaughter.
Senator Rick Scott, R-Fla., called Abrams’ comments “outrageous,” “barbaric,” and “absolutely disgusting.”
“I didn’t really expect Democrats to go with ‘you know, it’s cheaper to feed your family if you kill a few of them’ as a closing argument, yet here we are,” wrote National Review writer Dan McLaughlin.
Her opponent, Gov. Kemp, said, “While my opponent wants abortion without limits to fix Joe Biden’s 40-year high inflation, my plan is” to “suspend the gas tax” and implement the largest tax cut in state history.
.@staceyabrams’ comments are simply outrageous and barbaric.
The solution to the Democrats’ inflation crisis is to abort more babies?
Absolutely disgusting. https://t.co/Vp9ryxXziV

.@staceyabrams believes abortion is the answer to inflation. I bet @ReverendWarnock won’t answer the question – does he agree with her? https://t.co/0eyurCFg7E

The Babylon Bee ran the headline, “Stacey Abrams Explains You Can Get Your Bills Down To $0 By Killing Yourself.”
Her words aren’t exactly new: Population control has long been a goal of environmental extremists and the Left.
“The best way to reduce emissions? Have fewer kids, researchers say,” said a story in Canada’s CBC.
“Want to Fight Climate Change? Have Fewer Children,” wrote the left-wing UK newspaper The Guardian.
Science had Sid Perkins write, “four lifestyle choices had a major impact: Become a vegetarian, forego air travel, ditch your car, and—most significantly—have fewer children.”
In Biden’s America, U.S. citizens’ economic pain is real and intense. Pollsters have found that people are skipping meals, because they can’t afford to eat as much as normal.
And it’s just getting started. 63 percent of economists predict America will enter a full-blown economic downturn in the next 12 months. The model of Bloomberg Economics, owned by left-wing Democrat Michael Bloomberg, says the chance of a recession by next October is 100 percent.
Democrats address the economic problems they created by denying things are that bad, pointing out the “historic first” appointments they made, and calling their opponents racists.
When that doesn’t work, they send out Stacey Abrams to blame you for enjoying the warmth of fossil fuels, America’s heritage of liberty, and the smiles of newborn babies — all of which she and her party would like to see destroyed. Abrams’ only crime was saying the soft part loud.
The Democratic Party thinks your children’s deaths are a small price to pay for enacting their political agenda to fight climate change, systemic racism, and transphobia. It’s a chilling vision of the world, laid bare in one 60-second media clip.
If you want to give your neighbors nightmares, dress as Stacey Abrams this Halloween. If you want to live in a nightmare, make her governor on Election Day.
