Rep. Katie Porter, D-Calif., is a domestic abuser that frequently hit and once poured scalding hot food on her former husband, according to recently resurfaced divorce documents.
The documents claimed Porter would fly into fits of “extreme anger” and frequently threw “toys, books and other objects” at her spouse, ex-husband Matthew Hoffman claimed when filing for a restraining order.

She was emotionally and verbally abusive as well, their 2013 divorce document say. Porter would frequently scream and call Hoffman a “f***ing idiot” and “f***ing incompetent.”
During one rage-filled episode, Porter smashed a glass coffee pot on the kitchen counter when her husband failed to clean to her standard. “This house is a mess! You f***ing slob! You’re incompetent! What the f*** do you do all day!,” she reportedly screamed while their three young children were in a nearby room.
Hoffman said in another incident that Porter poured a pot of boiling potatoes on his head, scalding him. She was enraged that he wasn’t making the mashed potatoes correctly, Hoffman claimed.
“She would not let me have a cell phone because she said, ‘You’re too f***ing dumb to operate it,’ Hoffman claimed.
“When she gets angry, she will claw and scratch her arms and then say to me ‘Look what you made me do!’” he said, according to their divorce documents. “She regularly says that I am a bad parent in front of the kids.”

Porter has denied the allegations. But critics point out that this isn’t the first time Porter has been accused of being an abusive bully.
Among staffers and aides in Washington, D.C., Porter’s office has been called one of the “legendary toxic offices” on Capitol Hill.
She once blamed and then fired a staffer for giving her COVID-19 in September via text message.
“Porter’s staffer, the office’s Wounded Warrior Fellow named Sasha Georgiades, told Porter that she forgot to follow Covid protocols because one of her friends had just been murdered,” The Spectator reported. “This apparently did not matter to the congresswoman.”
Other staffers have complained that sexual harassment “is not taken seriously and is swept under the rug” in Porter’s office.
Porter frequent use of racist language behind closed doors is also reportedly a well known secret among Washington, D.C. staffers.

She is currently running to replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., in the 2024 election — because she wants more power.
Sounds like a lovely lady, no?
