One of the Democratic Party’s most “progressive” socialists lives rent-free in a million-dollar, tax-exempt mansion… while he tells Americans they aren’t paying enough taxes.
The palatial home belongs to Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-G.A.–well, sort of.
Technically, Warnock’s home belongs to the Ebenezer Baptist… and Warnock lives there 100% rent-free.
Warnock’s cozy arrangement with his church was exposed by Andrew Kerr at the Washington Free Beacon, who reports the church bought the five-bedroom home for $989,000 in October 2022 and told Warnock he could live in “one custom home that effortlessly merges history & luxury,” without ever paying a cent.
The home’s details match the description of a property located at 2753 Hosea L Williams Drive SE in Atlanta.
The luxurious home comes complete with “a 57 inch dual faucet kitchen sink, built-in Miele coffee maker & Flat Screen Television, 80 inch Liebherr built-in Fridge, 100 bottle wine fridge, custom cabinets that all enjoy custom interior organization systems & automated lighting. The cooking wall is centered by the 36′ slide in ZLINE Range & a custom stainless range hood that plays music via your favorite bluetooth device (yes I am serious),” says the listing.
It also has a “beautiful turn of the century courtyard-esque patio with 3 separate spaces to enjoy the outdoors year round,” a “spa-like bath,” and a “private & HUGE backyard.”
Nice digs, if you can get them.
Better yet, since the church owns the house, it’s exempt from property taxes—the kind that finance Atlanta’s failing public schools.
Warnock’s always ready for you to give more, but he’s not willing to pay his “fair share in taxes” on his mansion.
There’s no doubt about the arrangement: The address is where Warnock is registered to vote.
“Man of the people,” said one online commentator.
“Aren’t those on the left always screaming about the importance of the Separation of Church and State? UNTIL THERE’S A FREE MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE ON THE LINE,” said the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), an investigative center and government ethics watchdog that skews conservative.
“It is such a political scandal and an ethical scandal,” said broadcaster Rob Gouveia, Esq. “Democrat senator, busted!”

“The new home may represent an upgrade for Warnock from an already-generous arrangement with Ebenezer, whereby he was provided a $7,417 per month housing allowance, tax free,” reports NLPC.
The purchase freed Warnock up to sell his own home, making a killing in a real estate seller’s market without having a buy a new home for himself.
If that’s not enough, the faithful of Ebenezer Baptist still paid Warnock $31,800 in salary in 2023, in addition to his $174,000 salary as a U.S. senator, unbelievable congressional perks, and more than $460,000 in book royalties.
To add insult to injury, while the shameless socialist senator lives rent-free in a million-dollar mansion…he’s constantly shaking down parishioners for more donations, supposedly to pay the church’s mortgage.
“I want you to give a special gift to America’s freedom church today,” Warnock said, suggesting every single visitor to “give at least” $139 dollars “above your normal tithes and offerings.”
“Give at least at much,” he said, urging people to give their annual bonuses to the church. “I ain’t laughin’. I’m serious,” he said. “You might want to give a week’s salary.”
News of Warnock's new luxury church-funded housing accommodations will likely come as a surprise to his congregation, which just two weeks ago had to listen to the Senator urge them to donate their BONUS CHECKS to the church to help pay down its mortgage debts. pic.twitter.com/YmDk6ha5Ry

The investigators at NLPC have been hot on the trail of misdeeds carried out by MLK Jr.’s old church, which has taken stances the slain civil rights leader would never have approved. Researchers filed a legal complaint with the IRS after it found Ebenezer Baptist hiding the fact that it owned 99 percent of an apartment complex…and acted as a slumlord. The church that claims to care about the poor aggressively evicted tenants who fell behind, sometimes throwing renters who were a few days past due in paying $28.55 of their rent out on the street.
“They treat me like a piece of s**t,” said Phillip White, a 69-year-old tenant at Columbia Tower in Atlanta’s MLK Village. “They’re not compassionate at all.”
Way to love thy neighbor, Warnock.
“It’s obscene that Senator Warnock’s church allows him to live rent-free in a new million-dollar house while it evicts poor black residents from its apartment building for being late in paying back rent for as little as $28,” NLPC attorney Paul Kamenar told the Free Beacon.
More to the point, it might just be illegal.
“This benefit and his pay for being a part-time pastor may be an excessive benefit under IRS rules and trigger tax penalties,” Kamenar explained.
If Warnock really believes in socialism, why doesn’t he invite the poor, homeless, or the illegal “migrants” he claims to care so much about to share the wealth? Isn’t that what he claims Jesus teaches?
Jesus also taught His disciples to be wary of hired servants, who does not love the sheep, but shears them for his own benefit and then leaves them alone when danger approaches.
Do you think “Pastor” Warnock is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, fleecing the American people instead of just his flock?
