A national Democratic leader’s administration has forced taxpayers to pay for prostitutes, saying it “improves the quality of life for everyone.”
The shocking revelation came as New York Governor Kathy Hochul authorized a taxpayer-funded program doling out “free” health care for hookers.

The newly announced “sex worker health pilot program” will pay for call girls to receive sexual health care, behavioral therapy, primary medical treatment, and dentistry, at taxpayers’ expense.
“The Health Department remains committed to providing affirming, compassionate support and quality services to all residents without stigma and discrimination.
Access to comprehensive sexual health services improves the quality of life for everyone,” said a spokesperson for the state Health Department.
The department seemed to make underwriting escorts’ medical care a matter of left-wing “justice.”
Prostitutes “often experience discrimination, violence, and threats to their emotional well-being,” said the DOH, which said street walkers are “more vulnerable” to getting sexually transmitted infections, due to the nature of their work.
Average people reading about the pro-prostitution “pilot program” couldn’t believe their eyes.

With “poverty increasing dramatically, cost of living insane, home prices unaffordable, violence & criminality drastically increasing,” Hochul made “health care for prostitutes (her) #1 priority,” said one outraged citizen.

Republican lawmakers wondered how doctors would know the women asking for their services were really escorts.
“What are they going to have, a prostitution card?” asked state Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo (R-Staten Island).

Taxpayers could not believe they were compelled to pay for prostitutes’ medical bills out of their pockets. “Isn’t that the pimp’s responsibility?” asked one commentator.

They have the right to be incensed: They had no voice in the matter. Gov. Hochul did not consult the state legislature before setting up the newly announced program.
She instead shuffled funds that lawmakers had allocated to the New York state Department of Health’s AIDS Institute — without giving anyone a vote.
The new program will cost a total of $1 million in taxpayer funds. Hochul will cut checks to two contractors — Callen Lorde and EHS Inc./Evergreen Health — amounting to $250,000 each year for two years.
One of those health care institutions, Callen Lorde, says on its website that it specializes in LGBTQ heath care and supports legalizing prostitution — even though it admits prostitutes are trafficked.
“Callen-Lorde firmly and without reservation supports the health, rights, and dignity of sex workers,” the website says. “We support the total decriminalization of sex work as an important step to protect and respect the human rights of all sex workers.”
The site goes on to say the institution “understand(s) the gray area between sex work and sex trafficking” and wants its services to be available to anyone in the sex industry, regardless of their level of agency in their work — that is, whether the woman chose to be a prostitute or is forced to turn tricks at gunpoint.
The institution promises “to promote the rights of sex workers and to create a safe space for sex workers.”

Hochul’s supporters say this will put New York ahead of the sexual curve.
“New York State once again sets itself apart,” said two of the doctors at Callen-Lorde, Uri Belkind and Aruna Krishnakumar, who tend to adolescents. Other states “are waging misinformation wars against the transgender community” and “ignoring scientific evidence to hurt transgender adolescents and their families,” the doctors said.

But others, like Bill Donohue of the Catholic League, believe encouraging people to sell their bodies — and telling them taxpayers will take care of curing their STDs — will “destroy the quality of life for New Yorkers,” “act like a magnet for more prostitutes, and will undoubtedly attract a host of new deviants to work with them.”
“It doesn’t get more irresponsible than this,” said Donohue.
Critics say this is just Hochul’s sly way of legalizing prostitution in the Big Apple. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg stopped prosecuting prostitution/soliciting as a crime in 2021.
All this proves how insightful President Ronald Reagan was. “Politics is the second oldest profession,” he said. “I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.”
