In newly released bodycam footage, Tiger Woods is seen walking away from his car crash last week while claiming he was on the phone “with the president.”

The video, first shared by TMZ, showed the legendary golfer walking freely, without handcuffs, before performing field sobriety tests.

Woods was on a path, walking away from the police vehicle, as someone off-camera asked him not to venture too far.

“Yeah, I was just talking with the president,” Woods said.

Woods walked back toward police, and was heard saying, “Thank you so much. All right, you got it, bye,” although the person on the other end of the phone has not been officially identified.

Trump issued a statement about Woods’ DUI arrest last week.

“I feel so bad. He’s got some difficulty — there was an accident, and that’s all I know,” he said at the time.

Trump referred to Woods as “a very close friend of mine, he’s an amazing person, an amazing man,” before admitting he felt Woods was facing “some difficulty.”

Woods and Trump have a long, well-known friendship and have frequently played golf together.

Woods is currently in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former wife of Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.

Last week, Woods crashed his Land Rover and was arrested after performing a series of field sobriety tests.

Recently released police bodycam footage showed police searching the famous golfer and removing what appeared to be two hydrocodone pills, according to TMZ.

He was handcuffed and arrested on-scene.

In the aftermath of his arrest, Woods announced that he has stepped away from golf indefinitely and will be seeking treatment.
