You’re going to be victimized by crime. We can’t stop it. And we’re not going to try that hard.
That seems to be the message that socialist, soft-on-crime Seattle is sending to local business owners — and residents.
Just weeks ago, we told you about how terrified Seattle residents were erecting makeshift barricades around their homes to try to keep criminals out. They said the city has been completely unwilling to get the crime in their neighborhoods under control.

Seattle has actually established a taxpayer-funded program to reimburse owners when their businesses are inevitably vandalized or robbed. Rather than trying to stop or prevent crime, Seattle is just allowing it to happen — and making taxpayers pay for the damage.
Listen to these stunned business owners explain what it’s like operating in this lawless “socialist paradise.”
Another Seattle small business robbed. City hands out $5K per incident for storefront repairs + a $10K one-time grant for security cameras. That’s $25K + in taxpayer dollars while the business is shut down for days, bleeding revenue.

HAPPENING NOW: Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson lied to the people of Chinatown-ID.
Just last week Wilson said, "We will no longer tolerate open-air drug sale and use and vending stolen goods."
But late Friday evening, dozens of homeless drug addicts returned to 12th Ave & Jackson St.… https://t.co/JIr2TPmDwD pic.twitter.com/t4bRoIRKuT— Jonathan Choe (@choeshow) June 27, 2026
