In case you were wondering, Vice President and border czar Kamala Harris has figured out the cause of the crisis plaguing the U.S.-Mexico border.
It’s climate change, she says.
You read that right.
This caught the ears of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-T.X., who torched the speech with one four-letter word truthbomb…
Harris first made the claims during a speech at the Washington Conference of Americas, where she touched on the “root causes” of the border crisis.
“And I’m thinking of corruption, violence and poverty. The lack of economic opportunity,” she said, before saying. “The lack of climate adaptation and climate resilience.”
You can view an snippet of that speech below:

This of course made its rounds on Twitter and Cruz offered his response to the weird claim.
“Nope,” he simply said.

It was a simple yet telling dismissal of Harris’ claim.
Cruz knows she’s making excuses for the Biden administration’s failures.
Cruz has been working hard alongside other Republicans in unveiling the mess at the border after Democrats have long-covered up the situation ever since President Joe Biden entered the White House…
Heck, VP Harris hasn’t even been to the border yet!
And no one knows if she’ll ever even go.
According to Fox News, it’s been 44 days since and Harris hasn’t even held an official press conference ever since she was appointed the czar role.
Someone from the administration, however, is making a visit to the border.
But it’s not her.
Instead, Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas will be visiting the South Texas facility for illegal immigrants in Donna, Texas. There, he’ll “receive updates” on the unaccompanied children arriving at the border.
Afterward he’ll reportedly hold a news conference.
Pundits are wondering why VP Harris isn’t the one to do this.
The so-called border czar more and more seems to want nothing to do with it.
