With just days to go until Iowa’s Republican presidential caucus, the campaign of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis seems to be in deep trouble.
DeSantis has poured a mountain of resources into winning Iowa — but a recent Suffolk University poll of 500 likely Iowa GOP Caucus voters showed him in a distant third place heading into Monday’s contest.
Without at least a second-place finish in the Hawkeye State, DeSantis may soon join former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Vice President Mike Pence on the sidelines of the 2024 election.
And if the poll is to be believed, DeSantis is running 7-9 points behind former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.
