In a surprising announcement, one of the stars of the popular Fox News show “Fox & Friends” announced this weekend that she is leaving the show.
The network announced that “Fox & Friends” host Jedediah Bila, a star of their weekend offering, was leaving Friday.
“We have mutually and amicably parted ways with Jedediah Bila and wish her all the best,” Fox News said in a statement. “The new co-host of ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ will be named soon.”
On social media, Bila thanked her former co-workers and fans through her own statement.
“Thank you to the Fox News reporters, anchors, contributors, and producers who have been an absolute pleasure to work with these last few years,” she wrote.
“To the viewers who supported me throughout my journey there — I’m deeply grateful for you and hopeful you’ll join me on my next adventure. I’m really excited for what’s to come.”
Bila first joined Fox News as a contributor in 2013. She left in 2016 to briefly co-host the ABC talk show “The View” but returned to Fox News in 2018.
She became a permanent co-host of the “Fox & Friends Weekend” a year later.
An outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump, Bila frequently clashed with her co-stars on the show. She was outspokenly critical of the January 6th riot in Washington, D.C., and has frequently backed Rep. Liz Cheney, R-M.T., in opposing Trump’s leadership of the Republican Party.
