By all appearances, this looked like a simple photo-op and a show of support for Ukraine — but President Joe Biden may have just committed an impeachable offense in the process.
So where is the mainstream media outrage? Imagine the around-the-clock coverage if former President Donald Trump had done this while running for re-election in 2020.
Earlier this week, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the United States in an attempt to rally more support for his country’s war against the Russian invasion.
The alleged purpose of his visit was to visit the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant in Biden’s hometown of Scranton, PA.
In large part, Zelensky’s past visits have largely remained bi-partisan. But this week’s trip spiraled into what critics called a naked political campaigning for Democrats.
According to report, Zelensky arrived in Pennsylvania on Monday, which happens to be an election battleground state, on a U.S. taxpayer-funded C-17 Globemaster aircraft.
Shortly after landing, Zelensky — instead of touring the facility — unleashed a slew of politically motivated attacks against both Donald Trump and JD Vance.

“Donald Trump doesn’t know how to stop the war in Ukraine, despite claiming he could end it on his first day as US president,” Zelensky said.
Zelensky also described Trump’s running mate JD Vance as “dangerous” and “too radical”.
“His message seems to be that Ukraine must make a sacrifice,” Zelensky said of Vance in an interview with New Yorker Magazine before he flew to the US to present his “Victory Plan” to the Biden-Harris White House this week. “But I believe that we have shielded America from total war.”
Many on social media questioned the visit as a campaign event, even inquiring if using federal property (like airplanes) to openly trash a single political opponent during an election could be an impeachable offense.
“This has to be in [violation] of at least one or more election laws,” one X user wrote.
The same X user recalled that Democrats impeached Trump in 2019 over a phone call to Ukraine and slammed the hypocrisy of the Biden administration, which they described as “a crime syndicate rubbing it in our faces.”
This is an impeachable offense on the part of Biden-Harris. And dangerously reckless move on Zelensky's part to campaign for Harris in a battleground state on U.S. taxpayer funds. https://t.co/IHfp7vCauk

Even Dan McLaughlin of The National Review denounced Zelensky’s appearance in Scranton alongside prominent Democrats, including Gov. Josh Shapiro and Sen. Bob Casey, who is currently facing a re-election challenge from Republican Dave McCormick.
“If the Biden-Harris administration (and/or the government of Pennsylvania) is using taxpayer money to ferry Zelensky to Scranton, that’s a problem,” McLaughlin wrote.
Trump and Vance have yet to respond to Zelensky’s comments.
Will Biden using a foreign leader and federal property to campaign against them lead to an impeachment? Unlikely.
Don’t expect to hear about it from the mainstream media, either.
Typical.
